The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join our US engineering team at Wematch.
Working closely with our US Tech Lead in our New York office, you’ll play a key role in building, improving, and maintaining our trading platforms.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, takes ownership of their work, and thrives in a fast-paced, business-critical environment.
What You’ll Do
- Build & Deliver: Design, develop, and ship high-quality features across our trading platforms.
- Own Production: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues during market hours, minimizing disruption to our users.
- Drive Technical Excellence: Conduct code reviews, make sound architectural decisions, and maintain high standards for security, performance, and reliability.
- Improve the Platform: Proactively identify technical debt, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve scalability and resilience.
- Collaborate & Mentor: Work closely with your teammates, share knowledge, and contribute to a strong engineering culture.
- Leverage AI: Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery, improve code quality, and streamline engineering workflows.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid experience with AWS, MongoDB, and Firebase.
- Proven ability to understand complex existing systems and deliver solutions independently.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, particularly in production environments.
- Good architectural judgment and an understanding of system-wide impact, security, and risk.
- A proactive, pragmatic mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to stay focused and effective under pressure.
Production Ownership
Our platforms support live financial markets, where reliability, responsiveness, and sound technical judgment are essential.
You’ll be trusted to investigate incidents, assess their impact, and implement effective solutions to keep the business running smoothly.
Production support is limited to market hours (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM ET), with no 24/7 on-call requirement.

Salary & Benefits
- Salary Range: $160,000 – $200,000/year (Full-time).
