About the Role

We are looking for someone to join our EMEA team in London and play a key role in the growth of trades execution on our platform.

As a member of the trading team, you will act as a trusted execution partner for our clients, primarily interacting with traders and sales at leading investment banks and buy side clients. Your role will be highly commercial and execution-focused: identify trading opportunities, understand and look for client interests, facilitate negotiations and drive the growth of balances executed through the platform across our product offering.

This is a fast-paced role that combines market expertise, client relationship management, execution, data analysis and operational problem-solving. You will need to be highly responsive, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a time-sensitive trading environment.

You will work with the Head of Trading, who brings 10 years of international experience as a trader in top-tier banks.

Key Responsibilities

Trading & Execution

• Identify trading opportunities and proactively engage with clients to uncover interest
• Work closely with traders to facilitate and execute transactions on the Wematch platform
• Support negotiations between counterparties and help drive trades through to completion
• Develop a strong understanding of our products, clients and market dynamics
• Take ownership of growing trading volumes and balances executed on the platform
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with traders and key clients

Data & Performance

• Track and analyse team KPIs and trading activity
• Extract, structure and interpret relevant data to identify opportunities and monitor performance
• Work closely with our Data team to develop dashboards and visualization tools that support the trading team’s decision-making

Process & Platform Development

• Help improve and streamline internal processes and workflows
• Develop tools and dashboards that enable the team to operate more efficiently
• Work closely with our Product team in London on the continuous improvement and maintenance of the platform. Bring feedback from clients and the trading desk to help shape product development.

Who We’re Looking For

Experience

We are looking for a professional with at least 5 years of experience in Equity Finance / Equity Derivatives as a Trader, Sales, Broker or a related markets role.
