Financial Controller

We are currently looking for an energetic and dynamic Financial Controller to join our Team!

The ideal candidate’s responsibility will include supporting the CFO and VP of Finance and taking responsibility for aspects of financial management across the business.

The role requires a driven and results-oriented person able to identify opportunities for improvements in systems, processes, and controls in order to drive the continued growth of the business. This is a hands-on role, and the Financial Controller must be prepared to ‘roll up their sleeves’, working with the finance executives to implement appropriate procedures and produce financial information and taking care of the day-to-day finance duties together with the finance team.

Back in 2017, we created our award-winning solution which digitizes dealing workflows with banks, clients, and internal teams. Our tools, which include smart matching, negotiation, lifecycle management, sales to trader, and intra and external flows, drive efficiencies across financial institutions’ operations.

The Wematch platform is used by 900+ dealers at 90+ financial institutions across the globe and features several asset classes, including Securities Finance, Interest Rates Swaps, and Equity Derivatives. Over the past couple of years alone, we have raised more than $30m in equity funding to fuel our global expansion, backed by global financial institutions and VCs.

This role will give you full exposure to:

  • Overseeing the monthly reporting cycle
  • Monthly payroll and reports to institutions
  • VAT returns and statutory reports
  • Budgeting and forecasting process
  • Overseeing the Group entities’ interim and annual audit
  • Overseeing the Group entities’ tax submissions
  • AR Aging reports
  • AR invoicing review and approval
  • Management reporting to Executives, stakeholders & Board
  • Ad hoc tasks as required by the CFO and VP of Finance

A bit about you:

  • Excellent ability to communicate in English
  • CPA license (Big 5 firms)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with IL tax legislation for corporates
  • Experience with IL & US salary cycle – nice to have
  • 2 years prior expertise with NetSuite ERP – big plus
  • Experience with US Gaap
  • Prior experience in consolidation FS reports
  • Traveling to the group entities’ offices (mainly to London) from time to time
  • Working days are Mondays-Fridays
