Being where our clients are is vital – we thrive on face-to-face interaction and build network effects by staying active in the market and meeting people. Across the globe, buy-side and sell-side alike, we brought together trading, risk, and operations teams to explore how digital innovation and interoperability are redefining modern securities finance.

Because real progress happens not just on platforms, but in the conversations that move the market forward.

Events that shaped 2025…

? Wematch Breakfast Roundtables (London & New York)

A new initiative in 2025, the Wematch Breakfast Roundtables quickly became a cornerstone of client engagement and a catalyst for network growth across our global community. Hosted in London and New York, each session brought together focused groups of trading, risk, and operations professionals for open, solution-driven conversations around key themes including SBL, Fixed Income TRS, Collateral, TRS Post-Trade, and ETF.

What began as an informal way to exchange ideas evolved into powerful forums for collaboration and innovation. The discussions sparked direct product enhancements, new data-sharing opportunities, and strengthened relationships between clients and the Wematch team. By creating space for honest dialogue and shared problem-solving, our Breakfasts didn’t just connect people, they amplified the network effect that underpins Wematch’s mission to simplify and modernise securities finance.

❄️ January – Clearstream/Eurex’s Global Funding and Financing (GFF) Summit, Luxembourg

The year began with valuable insights from the GFF Summit, which gave Wematch.live a valuable platform to connect with leading market participants across securities finance, repo, and collateral. Through panels, networking, and bilateral meetings, we deepened relationships, showcased our regulated platform’s capabilities, and gained insight into the evolving priorities shaping the collateral and funding ecosystem. It reaffirmed the importance of collaboration between trading venues, post-trade infrastructure, and technology providers in driving a more connected global market.

❤️ February – IMN Beneficial Owners’ International Securities Finance & Collateral Management Conference, Fort Lauderdale

February saw us gain valuable insights from IMN’s Beneficial Owners conference, where discussions focused on the evolving priorities of asset owners – from enhanced transparency and collateral visibility to cross-product connectivity and smarter use of data. Themes of risk control, regulatory alignment, and automation ran throughout, reflecting a market increasingly driven by resilience and interoperability rather than yield alone. The tone was one of cautious optimism, reinforcing Wematch.live’s belief that technology and data-led infrastructure are now essential foundations for transparent, efficient markets.

? February – PASLA Conference on Asian Securities Lending, Macau & Hong Kong Client Events

February marked a key step along the road in expanding our APAC footprint, with active participation at the PASLA Conference on Asian Securities Lending as well as a series of Hong Kong networking events. Conversations centred on market transparency, data contribution, and regional regulation, reflecting Asia’s growing appetite for digital solutions in securities finance. Clients emphasised the need for platforms that bridge global and local workflows – spanning SBL, TRS, and Repo – while aligning with regulatory frameworks. These discussions reinforced Wematch’s position as a trusted infrastructure partner for APAC institutions seeking to modernise trading and optimise balance sheets.

? April – ISLA Americas Operations & Technology Summit, New York

In April, Wematch.live joined industry leaders at the ISLA Americas Summit in New York, where our colleague Alvin Oh contributed to discussions on operational efficiency, digital innovation, and the evolving post-trade landscape. The event brought together trading, operations, and technology professionals from across the securities lending community to explore how automation, data integration, and regulated platforms are transforming market connectivity. Alvin’s participation underscored Wematch.live’s growing role in shaping the dialogue around interoperability and the digital future of securities finance.

? May – Connecting Across North America and London

May was a busy month for the Wematch.live team, with a strong presence across key industry events in both North America and London. Alvin Oh spoke again, this time at the Securities Finance Times US Securities Finance Symposium, contributing to conversations on technology, market efficiency, and evolving trading workflows. Meanwhile, in London, Wematch.live was delighted to support our colleague Grant Davies as he hosted the Securities Finance Charity Ball, bringing together industry peers in support of a great cause. The month concluded at the CASLA Conference on Canadian Securities Lending, where we engaged with buy- and sell-side participants to discuss transparency, interoperability, and the growing influence of digital platforms across securities finance.

☀️ June – ISLA Annual Securities Finance & Collateral Management Conference, Madrid

June marked one of the defining moments of the year as Wematch.live participated in ISLA’s Annual Conference in Madrid. During the conference, we unveiled our unified inventory narrative “One List, One API” – positioning Wematch as the bridge across TRS, SBL, and Equity Repo. The launch crystallised our vision of seamless interoperability and connected trading workflows on a single, regulated platform.

Adding further depth to the discussion, David Raccat spoke on an ISLA panel exploring the growing convergence between trading products and the operational transformation needed to support it. His session sparked valuable debate around interoperability, automation, and the shared infrastructure that will underpin the next phase of market evolution.

The message resonated strongly across the industry, with exceptional engagement from Tier-1 banks, agent lenders, and buy-side firms. The event catalysed a series of follow-up client sessions and live platform demos that deepened relationships, strengthened our market presence, and accelerated adoption across multiple product verticals.

More than just a product milestone, ISLA Madrid highlighted how collaboration and digital infrastructure can unlock liquidity, connectivity, and efficiency – reinforcing Wematch.live’s position as a trusted enabler of innovation in global securities finance.

? June – Dragon Boating and Drinks, London and New York

Summer kicked off in style with our inaugural Wematch Dragon Boating event on the River Thames – a fantastic evening that saw nearly a hundred brave souls take to the water for some spirited racing and friendly competition. Congratulations to UBS, who claimed victory in the final heat! The event captured what we value most at Wematch: community, collaboration, and a healthy dose of fun.

Across the Atlantic, our New York Summer Drinks brought the same energy to a lively Manhattan rooftop, where clients and colleagues enjoyed an evening of conversation, laughter, and shared celebration. Together, the two events embodied our way of saying thank you — recognising our clients’ continued trust and partnership, and setting a vibrant tone for the summer ahead.

? July – SFT Awards 2025: Trading System of the Year, London

A defining highlight of 2025 was Wematch.live being named Trading System of the Year at the Securities Finance Times Industry Awards. The accolade recognised our continued innovation, reliability, and growing adoption across TRS, SBL, and Repo markets – celebrating Wematch’s role in connecting global participants through a single, regulated venue built on transparency and trust.

?September – ISLA Connects and Wematch – “Understanding TRS”, London

In September, Wematch.live partnered with ISLA Connects to host “Understanding TRS” in London – an interactive session designed to help new entrants and emerging professionals navigate one of the market’s more complex products. Anne Taieb and Ben Cullen from our product team broke down key concepts of Total Return Swaps, explored real-world trading workflows, and showcased how digital platforms like Wematch can simplify lifecycle management and improve transparency.

By combining education, technology, and community, Wematch is helping to lower the barrier to entry for those new to securities finance, building knowledge, confidence, and connectivity across the next generation of market participants. The event reinforced our commitment to not only driving innovation but also sharing expertise and supporting the future growth of the TRS ecosystem.

? September / October – Wematch.live’s 6th Annual TRS & SBL Forum, London and Paris

Autumn saw the return of our flagship client forums in London and Paris – cornerstone events in the Wematch calendar that brought together around 200 participants from leading institutions across trading, risk, and operations. The sessions combined market insights, product innovation, and client dialogue, highlighting the emerging trends we’ve observed across global equity financing and lifecycle automation. We also showcased new product launches and feature enhancements, sparking lively debate on how digital infrastructure can reduce friction, improve efficiency, and unlock cross-product opportunities.

These forums have become much more than annual touchpoints; they’re now a shared space for our clients to exchange perspectives, shape priorities, and directly influence Wematch’s product roadmap. With targeted follow-ups and a measurable increase in platform engagement among participants, the 2025 editions in London and Paris reaffirmed the value of collaboration, insight, and community at the heart of everything we do.

? October – ISLA Americas 2nd Annual Securities Finance Conference, Miami

Conversations in sunny Miami centred on three themes: Liquidity, Technology, and Convergence. Regulatory discussions – including 10c-1, U.S. Treasury Clearing, and systemic risk – underscored how evolving rules are shaping market architecture, not just compliance frameworks. The key takeaway: platforms that flex across TRS, SBL, FRM, and data flows will lead the next phase of market evolution. From a lender’s perspective, liquidity only matters when aligned with borrower demand, a view that reinforces Wematch’s focus on balance-sheet optimisation, interoperability, and technology that evolves with regulation. In short, convergence isn’t just a theme — it’s becoming the foundation of how modern securities finance will operate.

? November – Euroclear Collateral Conference 2025, Brussels

More recently, this November, Wematch.live attended the Euroclear Collateral Conference in Brussels — an important industry forum exploring how innovation and infrastructure are reshaping collateral, liquidity, and risk management across global markets. The event brought together senior leaders from banks, asset managers, and market infrastructures to discuss the evolving role of digital platforms in optimising collateral flows and driving transparency.

For Wematch, it was an opportunity to engage directly with peers and partners on the future of cross-product connectivity, showcasing how our technology supports integrated trading and collateral solutions across TRS, Repo, and Securities Lending. The conversations in Brussels reaffirmed the growing recognition that interoperability and data-driven insight will be central to the next phase of market evolution.

? November – CASLA Forum on Securities Lending, Montréal

As one of our final events of the year, later this month, the Wematch.live team will attend the CASLA Forum on Securities Lending in Montréal – a key gathering for the Canadian securities finance community. The event brings together market participants from across the buy- and sell-side to discuss trends shaping collateral, regulation, and digital transformation in lending markets.

Our team looks forward to connecting with clients and partners to share updates on Wematch’s latest platform developments and to continue building engagement within the Canadian market. As cross-border collaboration and automation become ever more important, CASLA provides the perfect setting to deepen relationships and highlight how Wematch supports a more connected, data-driven securities finance ecosystem.

Looking Ahead to 2026

With record engagement and accelerating platform adoption, Wematch.live enters 2026 with strong momentum. The year ahead will build on this foundation, with deeper regional forums, data-led insights, a regular presence at flagship industry events, and continued collaboration with clients to connect and strengthen the global securities finance ecosystem.

Together, we’re not just shaping the market — we’re defining how it connects.
