Introducing the New Wematch: A Fresh Look for a Growing Business

Welcome to the new face of Wematch! As an organization that continues to evolve, we’ve decided the time has come to update our logo and branding to better reflect our growing business and mission. While we loved our old logo, we felt it was time for a change that better represents who we are now and what we stand for.

Our new logo design, which follows the launch of our new website and an updated marketing strategy at the end of last year, features primary colors with a twist and represents a play on the W+M combination of Wematch. We believe it better communicates our value proposition to our customers and partners, as the Wematch footprint grows across the globe.

The color blue is central to our new logo and branding, as it’s often associated with feelings of trust, stability, and reliability. These are the very qualities of Wematch that we want to communicate to our customers and stakeholders.

Beyond our logo, our goal is to drive the digitization of capital markets by connecting market participants. We have expanded our services to include optimized workflow and lifecycle management for a range of financial products, from interest rate derivatives to securities lending. Our platform is designed to be agnostic to where trades are negotiated, allowing our users to import trade data into the system from wherever the trade was printed.

Our objective is to become the global one-stop shop for synthetic trading and traditional lending. We’re well-positioned to facilitate this trend and bridge the gap between traditional and synthetic finance, as more institutions are looking to shift the balance from physical to synthetic lending. With our new logo and branding, we hope to better communicate our vision and values to our growing customer base and partners.

Back in February, we announced a new milestone: US$150 billion of notional outstanding on our platform globally. There are now close to 1000 traders and sales staff at 90+ financial institutions on our platform, with the aim of being the number one TRS platform on a global scale. We develop innovative workflow solutions and offer a broad suite of workflow and optimization tools.

What sets us apart is our integrated workflow across the trade lifecycle, which is agnostic to where the trade is negotiated, whether on our platform or elsewhere. Our focus has been on developing an open architecture workflow, enabling our users to import trade data into the system wherever the trade has been printed.

Looking ahead, we want to be the global one-stop shop for synthetic trading and traditional lending. TRS occupies an important place in the securities financing ecosystem, with an expanding community of users recognizing the flexibility, risk management, and balance sheet advantages of synthetic lending. We support institutions already involved in the TRS space who are interested in expanding their TRS franchise to a wider range of trading partners.

At Wematch, we recognize the potential blurring of the lines between synthetic and traditional lending. We see it as a technical challenge, but also as a commercial opportunity for us and the community we support. Prime broker firms are constantly seeking ways to reduce the regulatory capital impact of their trading and financing strategies and are liaising with their counterparts on the lending side to identify whether they can shift some of the balance from physical to synthetic lending. We believe we’re well-positioned to facilitate this trend and to help bridge the gap between traditional and synthetic finance.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are excited to have a new logo and branding that better represents who we are and where we are headed. Thank you for being a part of our journey: Check out our new website to learn more about Wematch.live!
