Today, we’re sitting down with Erga, who’s part of our Global Finance Team, providing insights into her journey, role, and experiences at Wematch.live.

Wematch.live: Hi Erga! Could you start by telling us a bit about yourself and your professional journey?

Erga: Sure! My name is Erga, and my career path has been quite unique. I accidentally found myself in the world of finance. I was the “teacher’s pet” of the CFO at my previous job, and he took me under his wing, teaching me the ropes of the financial world. His mentorship was invaluable, and it led me to where I am today at Wematch.live.

Wematch.live: That is an interesting start, Erga! So, what was it about Wematch that caught your attention and made you want to be part of the team?

Erga: What attracted me the most to the firm was the opportunity for growth and development. I wanted to take on more responsibilities and master what I do, and Wematch seemed like the perfect place to make that happen.

Wematch.live: That’s a great reason to join a team. Can you tell us what you find most enjoyable about your day-to-day work at Wematch?

Erga: The people. I love the camaraderie and the collaborative environment. Working with great colleagues makes each day enjoyable and meaningful.

Wematch.live: It’s clear you’ve had an interesting journey to this point, Erga. Could you share some of the accomplishments that you’re most proud of since you joined Wematch?

Erga: I feel like I’ve learned a lot and managed to bring real value to the team. Seeing the impact of my work has been a source of pride.

Wematch.live: That’s wonderful, Erga. In what ways has working at Wematch provided you with opportunities for growth and development?

Erga: First and foremost, I received additional training to enhance my skills, and my boss has been incredibly supportive, taking the time to mentor me and guide my professional development.

Wematch.live: It’s great to hear about the support you’ve received. What, in particular, is your favourite thing about the culture and values at Wematch?

Erga: I love that people genuinely care about each other and are willing to help each other grow. It’s a real team effort, and that sense of community is special.

Wematch.live: That sense of community is undoubtedly important. What inspires and motivates you in your day-to-day work?

Erga: I love my job, and my team, and I feel like I can be of value. Feeling appreciated and respected for what I do is a great motivator.

Wematch.live: It’s clear that your job is a significant part of your life. What about outside of work? Do you have any hobbies, activities, or passions that you enjoy?

Erga: Yes, I have quite a few! I enjoy practising yoga, getting lost in books, savouring a glass of wine, and immersing myself in music.

Wematch.live: Those sound like fantastic ways to unwind. If you could master any skill, what would it be, and what’s the reason behind your choice?

Erga: Surfing! It seems so exhilarating, and I’ve always been drawn to the ocean. Mastering that skill would be a thrilling achievement.

Wematch.live: Surfing does sound exciting! Finally, where do you envision your career heading in the next 3-5 years? What are your long-term goals?

Erga: Hopefully, I’ll still be here at Wematch, but I aim to master my work completely and take on even more responsibilities. That’s my long-term goal – to continue growing and contributing to the team’s success.
